NAHB Green

The PEG BuildGreenTM Program segments are referred to as: Program Support, Program Implementation and Program Documentation. Program Implementation will consist of the following three segments: Designers Report, Summary Report and Verifiers Report, and they are exclusive to the community attached in the executed contract. Work addendums may be attached as well as desired and endorsed by PEG and the client.

Program Support

PEG will provide program support to (effectively apply the theories and practices if the NAHB Green Home Building Program. This support will be in the form of man hours dedicated to:

  • Marketing Input
  • Sales Training
  • Sales Model Design Input
  • NAHB literature and print media
  • Assistance with development of print media language for marketing
  • Assistance with development of homeowner education package
  • Assistance with development and implementation of sub-contractor and vendor participation education and training

Program Implementation

PEG will provide the appropriate qualified individuals as required by the NAHB Green Building Program to implement the key components of the process. These are essentially, the design of the homes, the application for inclusion in the NAHB Green Home Building Program,, execution of the required verification inspections and completion and submission of the required documentation for NAHB certification consideration.

Designers Report Scope of Work

The Designers Report scope of work package applies to a home to be submitted for consideration by NAHB for inclusion in the NAHB Green Home Building Program.

PEG shall engage with the Client’s design professionals to review and subjectively score the selected model(s) for sample inclusion in the NAHB Green Home Building Program. From there, PEG will make recommendations for modifications to the design in order to achieve the Client’s desired score ranking within the NAHB system. PEG will complete the registration process for inclusion of the home(s) into the NAHB Green Home Building Program

Summary Report Scope of Work

The Summary Report scope of work package incorporates the submitted home(s) design as provided to NAHB. PEG will incorporate those elements into a summary report to be utilized for education and training with Vendors and Subcontractors as well as with Client representatives. The Summary Report will become part of the documentation package for each home.

Verifiers Report Scope of Work

The Verifiers Report scope of work will include the provision of the appropriately trained and accredited personnel necessary to perform and document the rough stage and final stage inspections as required by the NAHB Green Home Building Program. In addition, PEG shall provide the appropriately trained and accredited personnel to perform and document the performance testing as required by the NAHB Green Home Building Program.

Program Documentation

PEG will provide the resources necessary to develop, draft and report all of the components required for certification under the NAHB Green Home Building Program. PEG will submit the required documentation to NAHB for consideration of each home for NAHB certification. These documents will be provided in duplicate to you as well as will be archived for the duration of time required under the Verifier’s Agreement between PEG and the NAHB Research Center.
