LEED for Homes 401: GREEN RATER TRAINING


In today's business, LEED is the Language of Green.

As of February 2011, there are more than 44,000 units registered with LEED for Homes throughout the U.S., all of which will require on-site verification from a LEED for Homes Green Rater or Green Rater in Training. If you're looking to become a LEED for Homes Green Rater, this two-part training is your first step! Learn how to provide verification services on LEED for Homes projects. After completing this training, take a written exam and complete a mentorship to earn the LEED for Homes Green Rater Certificate.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Professionals with a minimum of three years' experience in residential construction and basic residential green building. Those with a background in on-site verification and/or energy rating are particularly qualified.

  2. Manage and conduct verification activities
  3. Effectively use the project checklist file
  4. Communication effectively with project teams and LEED for Homes Providers
  5. Apply the sampling protocol on applicable project
  6. Prepare accurate and complete certification submittal packages

PREREQUISITE:
Complete one of the following...

• LEED for Homes Program Review Webinar Series (submit     completion certificate)
• Earn LEED AP Homes Credential (submit copy of GBCI certificate)
• Have read USGBC's Green Building & LEED Core Concepts     Guide
